Deskripsi

PID controller implementation has been recommended for the control of processes of low to medium order, with small time delays, and parameter setting must be done using tuning rules. Process models may be classified as self-regulating or non-self-regulating. Integrating (or non-self regulating) processes display counter-intuitive behaviors that make them surprisingly challenging to control and can move to extreme and even dangerous levels if left unregulated. This paper discusses PID controller tuning for non-self regulating processes whose transfer function is a formulation of first order lag and integrator plus time delay (FOLIPD) model. It is used to control temperature, pressure, and level of plant. Tuning rules based on minimising an appropriate performance criterion, either for optimum regulator or optimum servo action. Regulator tuning (Input disturbance rejection) and servo tuning (Set point Tracking) are used to measure the performance of system. Simulation results show the tuning rules help us to get appropriate performance criteria of system.
