Brainstorming Meeting-Parliamentarians’ Advocacy for MDGs

The international commitment to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 2015 has been reaffirmed by all Member States of the United Nations. While developing countries have adopted national plans to realize the MDGs, developed countries have committed to increasing ODA by USD 50 billion by 2010. Achieving and exceeding the MDGs require strong political will from national leaders. Simultaneously, citizen participation is a prerequisite for developing and developed countries to fulfill their pledges.
