Kala Bhairava is largely misunderstood as Black Bhairava or the Terrible One, often associated with Lord of Destruction. Kaala Bhairava actually was a shortened form of Kaala Shakti Bhairava - the Lord who controls the Shakti of Kaala - the Power of Time. Thus He is the Lord of the March of Time or Kala Chakra Bhairava and on regular recitation, a devotee gets hold of effective time management through His divine grace. Kalabhairava is believed to quickly respond to devotee’s call. According to HH Sridhar Guruji, reciting the namam, “Om Namo Bhagavathe Narayanaya”, the lord Narayana will take around 10 years to give his divine darshan, however Kalabhairava is believed to be the quickest to respond to devotee’s call. Recite “Om Namo Kalabhairavaya”, the lord starts his journey towards you, keep reciting twice, he is already on the way, and thrice, he knocks your door bell”… he is the most powerful deity who is eveready to respond to rescue devotees.
