Murakami's Norwegian Wood

I think the best I can do is attempt to strike a balance between the personal and the objective: by examining Murakami’s biography as well as his connection to music and the influences music has on his writing and juxtaposing these elements with my own history, perhaps I can arrive at a conclusion that, although no doubt messy, may help me to put my experiences into a more definable context. Or perhaps I’ll end up more confused than ever, frantically grasping at memories and attempting to hold onto them while they are in the process of fading.
