Pvt John Dunham

Port Byron Library hosts historian Dawn Roe as she presents the life of Pvt John Dunham of Co. H, 3rd NY Cavalry who suffered a severe shot fracture to the left arm in 1862. Roe will present his well documented surgical case, take you on a brief walking tour of New Bern, NC, ballistics and medical triage of the era as well as talk about Dunham's life after the war.
