Providing communities the opportunity to express their health needs: During 2012, almost 350,000 people were able to express themselves at community assessment meetings in 3,417 fokontony in the KM salama communes—more than half of the participants at these meetings were women. Some of the needs expressed at the assessment meetings include better access to health services; continuous availability of health products; and satisfactory provision of health services, including the work environment
