RTN Permit

It is often necessary to obtain one or more certificates or permits to import industrial equipment into Russia and then advertise, sell or use them. Such certificates and permits have specific uses and rarely have more than one function. Rostechnadzor, RTN permit (formerly Gosgorteknadzor, GGTN) are concerned only with permission to operate potentially hazardous equipment (termed Technical Devices in the Regulations). The major groups of technical devices subject to licensing by the Federal Service for Technical Compliance, Environmental and Nuclear Supervision of Russia (Rostechnadzor) are shown in Annex 1 to this document.
