When land is acquired through inheritance or by bequest it shall not become null and void. But acquirer should file declaration as per 79a(4) before tahsildar and then deputy commissioner by notification declare the land be vested with government. Compensation will be paid as per section 72 of land reforma act. Failure to file declaration will be enquired under illegal transactions by assistant commissioner or enquired by tahsildar after issuing notice under form 14.
